Who we are
Made Simple is operated by AQC Technologies LLC ("we", "us"). This policy covers bymadesimple.com. Each study area's own site, where you buy a guide, may have its own privacy notice. If it does, that notice applies to what happens on that site.
What we collect
- When you sign up for emails: your email address and the exam or study area you choose, such as a launch list or waitlist.
- When you contact us: your name, your email address and whatever you write to us.
- When you browse: basic analytics, such as the pages you view, the site that sent you, your device and browser type, and a rough location (country or region) based on your IP address.
- Cookies: small files that help the site work and help us count visits. See Cookies below.
We don't collect payment card details on this site. Purchases happen on each brand's checkout, handled by a payment processor.
Why we use it
- To send you what you signed up for, such as a launch notice or study emails.
- To answer your questions and act on corrections.
- To understand which pages help people, and fix the ones that don't.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We don't sell your personal information. We don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who processes it
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They handle data on our behalf and only for the services they provide to us:
- Email service provider: stores the email list and sends our emails.
- Analytics and advertising measurement: counts visits, shows us which pages are used and, if we run ads, whether they work.
- Hosting and content delivery network: serves the pages to your browser and protects the site from abuse.
- Payment processors: handle payments on each brand's checkout. We receive order details, such as your email and what you bought, but not your full card number.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.
About cookies
We use a few cookies and similar tools. Some keep the site working. Others help our analytics provider count visits and, if we run ads, show us whether an ad brought someone to the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some counts we see will be less accurate.
How long we keep it
- Email list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After that we keep only a record that you unsubscribed, so we don't email you again by mistake.
- Messages to us: for as long as we need them to help you, and for up to two years for our records.
- Analytics: kept in summary form. We don't try to identify you from it.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe: every email has an unsubscribe link. One click and you're off the list.
- See, correct or delete: email info@bymadesimple.com from the address you signed up with and tell us what you want. We will reply within 30 days.
- Cookies: block or clear them in your browser.
Depending on where you live, you may have more privacy rights under local law. Email us and we will respond as that law requires.
We protect your information with reasonable safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise that it never will be accessed without permission.
About children
This site is for adults preparing for licensing exams. It is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child under 13 has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will say so clearly on the site or by email before it takes effect.
